Jointly developed with FORTUNE, the Zhangye LNG Reserve Center, located in Zhangye, Gansu Province, represents a total investment of approximately USD 71.6 million. The facility is responsible for providing a five-day emergency gas supply for Zhangye City and meeting 5% of the emergency storage demand for gas enterprises across 20 counties in the province.
As the largest natural gas emergency reserve base in Gansu and a key strategic energy hub in northwest China’s Hexi Corridor, the center plays a vital role in regional energy resilience.
Phase I was successfully commissioned two years ago, with an annual LNG production capacity of 120,000 tons. With the advancement of Phase II, the plant’s total processing capacity will increase to 1.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, and its LNG storage capacity will reach 59,600 cubic meters, further strengthening its role in securing energy supplies across Gansu and the broader region.
