FORTUNE announces that its 70TPD liquid air separation unit project in Nigeria has officially entered the commissioning phase, transitioning from mechanical completion to integrated system checks, pre-startup verification, and operational readiness activities.
The plant adopts FORTUNE’s dual-expander liquid ASU process, designed for small-scale applications requiring high efficiency and stable performance. With a capacity of 70TPD of LOX and LIN, the system is engineered to deliver compact footprint, reduced energy consumption, and reliable output tailored to distributed industrial gas demand.
A modular engineering and delivery approach was applied throughout the project. Key equipment was prefabricated, assembled, and performance-tested in factory conditions prior to shipment, enabling efficient on-site installation and minimizing interface risks. This approach has proven particularly effective in managing execution challenges associated with local infrastructure and site conditions.
Current commissioning activities include process line integration, instrumentation calibration, and cold box cool-down, all progressing in a structured and controlled sequence toward safe start-up.
Once in operation, the facility will strengthen local supply capability for liquid oxygen and nitrogen, supporting downstream demand across metallurgy, manufacturing, energy, chemical processing, and medical oxygen applications. This project reflects a modular and standardized engineering approach, enabling efficient and reliable delivery of small- to mid-scale ASU plants across global markets.
